iBuyNew Helping Buyers Find Property Through NSW COVID Restrictions

As Sydney’s COVID lockdown continues with varying restrictions in place across the state, a small amount of relief exists for those searching for the perfect new home or investment property. Buyers are still able to continue their property journey albeit in a COVID-safe way.

Under the current Public Health Order, real estate agents can, and have been facilitating COVID safe inspections at a number of displays across the city. The exception being for Local Government Areas (LGAs) which have been placed under tighter restrictions, with residents in these areas under strict stay-at-home orders.  As of 4 August, the LGAs under heightened restrictions include Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Cumberland, Parramatta, Blacktown, Campbelltown and Georges River.

“The situation is fluid and certainly has its challenges, but our property consultants are still safely managing to help customers view and find properties they’re interested in. In the last month, we’ve been able to continue to help our clients through their property journeys and even achieve their goals of ownership,” said iBuyNew’s Sales Manager for NSW, Rohan Aalders.

“We’re here to assist our clients in any way we can during this difficult time to ensure they find exactly what they’re looking for, despite the roadblocks. Our qualified property experts can help refine your shortlist, answer questions about particular projects or organise inspections in a COVID safe way.”

Are inspections still able to take place in Sydney?

Yes. Inspections are allowed to take place under the current guidelines:

In Greater Sydney: inspections may be conducted by private appointment for one person only.

Masks are mandatory indoors. COVIDSafe measures (hand sanitiser and record keeping etc)  are practiced.

For the rest of NSW: inspections can take place with a one-person per two square metre density quotient. Children count towards the capacity limit.

Masks are mandatory indoors. COVIDSafe measures (hand sanitiser and record keeping etc) practiced.

Check-in at business premises used for auction houses (including residential sales, tenancy open houses, and saleyards) must be completed using electronic methods such as a QR code.
