Brisbane Skytower to Become City’s Next Tallest Tower

The race has begun again for the claim of being Brisbane’s tallest residential tower, and this time it’s the Brisbane Skytower that is set to hold the title, located at 222 Margaret Street and developed by AMP Capital and Billbergia.

Reaching a whopping height of 274 metres, Brisbane’s tallest allowable height, it will equal that of the Shayher Group’s tower being developed on George Street.

Costing approximately $1 billion, this project includes the 90-storey Skytower, as well as the 42-storey hotel and apartment building located adjacent at 111 Mary Street.

Currently, Meriton’s Infinity tower holds the title of the tallest residential tower standing at 249 metres with 81 levels. Before this Meriton’s Soleil held the title at 243 metres.

Skytower will hold over 1,100 stunning apartments consisting of 192 serviced apartments and a variety of one, two and three bedroom apartments with breathtaking views over the city and as far as the Gold Coast and the Great Dividing Range. Residents will also have access to the sensational infinity pool located on the 89th floor.

Set to become a new Brisbane icon and landmark of this ever-evolving city, 800 jobs will be provided through its construction, and the seven-storey hole in the ground which has been at the site for the last six years will soon be a thing of the past.

Skytower will officially be launched globally on 29 November.
