MEET THE TEAM

Daniel Peterson
CEO
Daniel is the CEO of the iBuildNew group of companies, which includes iBuyNew. By qualification Daniel is a Chartered Accountant, but after more than two decades working in senior management positions across a number of global corporates he provides the strategic direction and leadership of the business. Daniel is passionate about property investment and a highly active investor himself both locally and abroad. He plays a key role on the iBuyNew investment committee, responsible for vetting and approving all builders and developers on the iBuyNew panel, and specific property projects that iBuyNew market to our clients.
John Rankin
Sales Director
John is a licensed real estate agent and leads the iBuyNew sales team. John started out as a teacher before moving into property development and later general real estate, so is uniquely positioned to educate staff and buyers about property investment. While growing up John spent many years in the Geelong and Melbourne area, for the last 20 years he has resided on the Gold Coast where he has been involved in a wide range of property development projects. As a result John has a deep understanding of most markets across Australia, but in particular those in Victoria and Queensland. John is a member of the iBuyNew investment committee, responsible for vetting and approving all builders and developers on the iBuyNew panel, and specific property projects that iBuyNew market to our clients.
Nathan Loutit
Sales Manager (VIC/SA)
After many years working for Swinburne University as a lecturer and managing the centre for design and innovation, Nathan worked his way into the property industry. Nathan had a number of years working for one of Australia’s largest homes builders selling house and land packages, and townhouses to investors and first home buyers. Nathan works closely with the iBuyNew referral partners and their clients across Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, supporting investors to find the right projects to meet their investment objectives.
Josh Mezger
Agency Principal (Western Australia)
Josh Mezger has over 20 years of senior international real estate experience. Whether your intention is to buy or sell an investment property or sell your primary residence, you can be confident in Josh’s ability to deliver. Armed with a degree in International Relations from the University of Colorado, Josh joined the real estate community after a successful global career in resort development.
 
Now specialising in the development of high quality projects, Josh regularly achieves sales volumes in excess of $100 million each year. His long term experience in real estate negotiation throughout international locations ensures Josh is well equipped to deal with clients of all backgrounds and needs. He is also fluent in Japanese.

Ian Ballas
Property Consultant (Victoria)
Ian studied accounting and management before starting his own business with a focus on managing sales team for SME’s, before moving into property sales with one of Australia’s largest residential home builders. Ian was one of the top performing consultants helping investors and first home buyers seeking house and land packages and townhouses before joining the iBuyNew team. Ian knows property investment as well as anyone across the Melbourne market, and is passionate about finding the right investment opportunities for his clients.
Juan Florez
Property Consultant (Victoria)
Juan studied economics and earned his degree in Colombia before arriving in Australia seven years ago. After working in one of the big four big banks, he chose to follow his passion in real estate and became a licensed agent. While working at one of Australia’s largest home builders, he honed his knowledge of the Australian property market from some of the best in the industry. Juan loves that he gets to work every day in an industry he is passionate about, while helping people find their dream home or build their investment portfolio. Juan is multilingual, speaking fluent Spanish, Italian and English.
Liam Do
Property Consultant (Victoria)
Liam holds a Bachelor of Business Information Systems from Swinburne University and a Cert IV in Property Services (Real Estate). He began his career in property in 2015, helping clients buy all over Melbourne’s western suburbs. He then moved on to work with one of Melbourne's development juggernauts becoming an expert in off-the-plan high-rise apartment projects in and around Melbourne’s CBD. Liam continues to develop his passion for the industry and believes his success comes down to instilling 'trust' and delivering buyers what he promises. With Liam you can be assured that you are dealing with a true professional.
Claire Almond
Client Liaison (Victoria)
After running a business in the health and wellness industry, Claire discovered a love for property. Her property career started as a Sales associate and continued through to Estate Manager for one of Victoria’s most established land estates throughout the Geelong growth corridor. Claire has a wealth of industry experience and unwavering enthusiasm for new property which she brings to the iBuyNew team. She is passionate about both property and people and works closely with our clients to provide a seamless and positive experience.
Esther Chung
Sales and Contract Administrator
Esther completed her master of commerce at the University of New South Wales and made the move to Melbourne. After years of working in retail management she decided to transition into the construction industry, which came as a breath of fresh air. She comes to iBuyNew from one of Victoria's largest volume builders, where she worked across both sales and marketing leadership. Esther has a passion for data insights and a constant thirst for streamlining and optimising systems and processes. She works closely with sales to ensure a seemless and stress free purchasing experience for iBuyNew clients.
Hamish Dolan
Property Consultant (Queensland)
Hamish has been a licenced Real Estate Agent in Queensland since 2015. He studied a BBus (Real Estate & Property Development) before working in house and land acquisitions for one of Australia's leading property investment education companies. After a number of years working amongst builders, land developers, lenders and solicitors constructing high-performing investment opportunities; he launched his own business with a focus on house and land and townhouses in high-growth areas. Now a part of the iBuyNew team, Hamish handles the property enquiries for Queensland and is motivated to provide the best performing property opportunities the state has to offer.
Nicky Scutti
Property Consultant (Queensland)
After completing her bachelor of international business and finance and a brief stint working in banking, Nicky decided to follow her passion for real estate on the sunny Gold Coast. She has worked with national and international real estate firms including CBRE and Stockland, where she honed her industry knowledge and fell in love with selling off the plan apartments and townhouses. Nicky is passionate about helping clients find their dream home or building their property investment portfolios with a focus on South East QLD. 
Luci Webber
Client Liaison (Queensland)
Luci is a certified Real Estate Agent with a number of years experience in the property industry working as the Executive Administrator for a boutique agency in Southern Queensland. She also worked in the accounting and finance sector with one of Australia’s largest banks before finding her way back into the property industry to join the iBuyNew team. Luci is passionate and enthusiastic about customer service and is dedicated to delivering a smooth and enjoyable puchasing experience for iBuyNew clients.
David Adams
Phone Consultant
David has been with the iBuildNew Group since 2019, first as Phones Team Leader and more recently as an Internal Sales Consultant. He has worked in the property industry for the last 5 years across various roles and has a solid knowledge of the Australian property market. David prides himself on providing a consistently high level of customer service to our clients. He is passionate about helping clients navigate the building landscape and finding their perfect home or the right investment property.
Antionette Burfurd
Phone Consultant
Antoinette is an experienced Sales and Marketing professional with a love of real estate, architecture and design. After many years in sales and marketing, Antoinette realised one of her dreams and became a publican/licensee of a popular foodie restaurant/pub in Carlton for seven years. Antoinette is a people person with the right mix of creativity, commercial acumen and drive. She truly enjoys helping people along their journey to finding and buying their next home or future investment.
Josh Wade
Property Consultant
Josh comes from an insurance industry background working as a phone consultant for brokers and insurers with a focus on residential and commercial property insurance. A few years ago he decided to follow his passion and transition into the real estate industry. Since then he has worked supporting property sales consultants, honing his expertise. Having lived all over Australia, he brings a solid knowledge of the Australian property market, as well as extensive customer service experience.
Marty Stanowich
Head of Marketing
Marty is a marketing professional with over a decade working in early stage businesses, and most notably with Homely for several years which is now one of the largest property portals in Australia. Marty is the Head of Marketing for both iBuildNew and iBuyNew, responsible for building our brands, driving web traffic and new enquiry to our businesses, and most importantly delivering an exceptional customer experience to all clients we engage. 
Michelle Leftwich
Marketing Co-Ordinator
Michelle has worked as a marketer and event manager for a range of businesses in the industrial supplier and sports industries for over a decade. Michelle joined the business to help manage marketing and communications to our clients across both iBuildNew and iBuyNew. Michelle plays a key role in organising the iBuyNew educational seminar program, so if you are attending one of our events you are sure to meet Michelle.
Manya Mehra
Content Marketer
After studying journalism and marketing, Manya joined the business and leads a small team of content writers focused on property investment and real estate. Manya not only identifies what our clients and website users are most interested in, she ensures the content created for them is top quality and distributed straight to their inbox. Manya also manages much of the content we provide through our social platforms, so if you are engaging with us on Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn, etc you may hear from her.
Chris Tan
Product Manager
Chris has worked for the iBuildNew group since 2015, overseeing the development of our web platform and supporting systems. As part of his role, Chris works closely with the iBuyNew sales and management team to ensure our client relationship management system and partner portal are functionally optimised. Chris is constantly thinking of strategic improvement opportunities for our web sites, and then developing briefs for our in-house web development team to build.
