There are also various public transport options which include buses, trains and trams to make commuting for work and leisure as easy as possible with the Gold Coast railway line connecting to Brisbane. The airport is based in Coolangatta with flights to interstate capitals as well as to major cities within New Zealand, Asia, USA and Europe.

A whole wealth of residents can be found living here including professionals, couples, singles and families with children. Over 100 public and private primary and secondary schools are located here. Southport State High School is the longest established public school, first opening in 1916. A wealth of shopping opportunities is found here to suit everyone’s tastes.
